Mar Iglesias García has a Second-Cycle Undergraduate Degree in Media Studies (Journalism) from the Complutense University of Madrid, a PhD from the University of Alicante, and a Specialisation Course in Educational Applications of ICT. For 10 years she worked for the Valencia Region Radio (Ràdio Nou) and collaborated with several publications, such as Expansión, Diario Médico, Gaceta Universitaria or El Periódico. She worked for the online journal Vilaweb Alacant from 1997 to 2010 and currently directs ComunicandoUA, an online journal produced by Advertising undergraduates from the University of Alicante. Entre 20216 y 2020 ha sido Vicerrectora Adjunta de Promoción Cultural y Lingüística, en el Vicerrectorado de Cultura, Esports i Llengües de la Universitat d'Alacant. She is president of the Corporació Valenciana de Mitjans de Comunicació CVMC (since January 8, 2021- abril 2023), member and vice-president of the CVMC Governing Council (since 10/26/2016), À Punt Mèdia. At present, she is a PhD contract lecturer at the Department of Communication and Social Psychology. Her primary line of research is online journalism, but she also works on ICT applied to education, and advertising. As a result, she has made contributions to scientific journals and participated in research projects in these areas, as detailed in her academic CV.
