Doctor by the Universitat d'Alacant / Universidad de Alicante with the thesis Comunicación publicitaria de juguetes en televisión Estudio de las variables audiovisuales, operaciones retóricas y aspectos creativos en una muestra de spots emitidos durante 1999 en España. Particularidades en la edad target y sexo target 2002. Supervised by Dr. Emilio Feliu García.

Full Professor at the Department of Communication and Social Psychology at the University of Alicante. Holds a degree in Psychology and a PhD in Sociology. Former Senior Advertising Producer at Publiespaña (Fininvest Group). Lecturer in the Advertising and Public Relations degree program, specializing in advertising creativity, and Coordinator of the Master’s in Communication and Creative Industries (2010-20). Author of over 136 scientific publications, most of them indexed. Principal Investigator of the consolidated research group Communication and Specific Publics Group since 2003. Principal Investigator of the National Plan I+D project (SEJ200401830) and 3 regional projects; participation in 7 national I+D projects and 1 European project (JUST/2015/RD AP/AG/CORP4000009182). Steering Group member of UNICEF and Ipsos MORI (UNICEF-37B). Founding member of the Spanish Association of Communication Research (AE+IC). Vice President of the International Association for Research on Childhood, Youth, and Communication (Kids&Com). Founding member of the Latin Society of Social Communication and the Latin Platform of Communication Journals. Member of the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA). Editor of the Mediterranean Journal of Communication. Honorary Member of the Latin American Network of Advertising Researchers (RELAIP). Member of the Ibero-American Observatory of Scientific Journals in Communication. Recipient of the XIV Hermes Award (2017) granted by ATR-CV (ICMedia) for her teaching and research career in defense of responsible communication. National stays at Pompeu Fabra University and the University of Zaragoza. International stays at Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (Canada) and Glasgow Caledonian University (United Kingdom).
