Doctor by the Universitat d'Alacant / Universidad de Alicante with the thesis El poblamiento rural romano en la provincia de Albacete La Villa de Balazote. Un ejemplo de la vida en la campiña 2010. Supervised by Dr. Lorenzo Abad Casal.

She is currently at the I.U.I. in Archeology and Historical Heritage of the UA, where she participates and directs several projects. She is part of the "Archaeology and Historical Heritage" research group, attached to the University Institute for Research in Archeology and Historical Heritage (INAPH), where he develops a line of research on the organization and transformation of rural landscapes from Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages in the Iberian Peninsula and northern Italy. She is or has been PI of several projects: "The Roman villa of Balazote", financed by the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha and the Balazote City Council; the Project "Study and excavation of the early medieval village of Loma Eugenia (Hellín), financed by the Hellín City Council; the "Domus-La Alcudia. Living in Ilici", co-directed with Sonia Gutiérrez Lloret, and financed by the University of Alicante; or the project “EL poblament rural antic als entorns de Banyeres. Dels llogarets i vil·les a les masies: els origins del poblament rural traditional", co-directed with Ignasi Grau Mira. She has been principal investigator of the "Land of rivers" project. Archeology of the water in the SW of Padua", funded by the Università degli Studi di Padova. From January 2012 to January 2016, she has been a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Padua (Italy), first with a post-doctoral mobility contract of the MEC ( 2012-2014) and later as a contractor in the European project MEMOLA FP7 (MEditerranean MOntainous LAndscapes) and as "assegnista di ricerca senior" of the Università di Padova, has participated in more than 30 national and international research projects, in numerous conferences, workshops and seminars, and has organized two international summer schools and several seminars. She has published 5 monographs (two of them as main author), numerous articles and book chapters. She has enjoyed several research grants (pre-doctoral level between 1999 and 2003, and postdoctoral level between 2012 and 2014), and has carried out research stays at La Sapienza in Rome, the Spanish School of History and Archeology in Rome, The German Institute of Archaeology in Istanbul, The University of Padua, The University of Hamburg and Boston University (in total 61 months). She currently directs several doctoral theses and is the supervisor of two predoctoral researchers and a doctoral researcher from the Juan de la Cierva program.
