Resumen

O contexto de mudança no ambiente das organizações, incluindo as Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES), tem estimulado a implementação da gestão de projectos (GP) como um modelo dinâmico para atingir os seus objectivos. Com o objetivo de conhecer o nível de apropriação da GP nas organizações, foram criados os Modelos de Maturidade em Gestão de Projectos (PMMM), que constituem uma referência para as organizações gerirem de forma holística e ordenada os projectos que incorporam na sua arquitetura funcional. O objetivo do artigo é demonstrar de forma epistêmica a evolução dos PMMMs, suas principais características, níveis de maturidade, virtudes e desvantagens e aplicabilidade nas IES. A abordagem metodológica qualitativa tem um âmbito descritivo, com base na revisão de 46 artigos académicos, através de bases de dados indexadas como SCOPUS e WEB OF SCIENCE e outras fontes como relatórios, livros e repositórios digitais. A importância para as organizações de melhorar suas práticas e processos, e utilizá-los de forma otimizada, a fim de gerar vantagens competitivas, a GP juntamente com a implementação de PMMMs, são transcendentais para alcançar o sucesso da estratégia corporativa.
