Abstract

Currently, assistive robotics has demonstrated its potential as a method to help people with motor and/or cognitive deficits. With the intention of improving the quality of life for these users, the MUNICH project was born. One of the objectives of theMUNICH project is the development of a bimanual exoskeleton to assist with activities of daily living, and rehabiltation tasks.Starting from a previous design developed from the AIDE project (Horizon 2020), this article presents a complete redesign ofthe structure to improve the robustness of the device, a new system for adjusting and fitting the exoskeleton, and the redesign ofthe shoulder’s internal-external rotation.
