The processes of pedestrianization in cities such as Seville have had a direct impact on urban mobility, making it a key factor both for economic development and for the quality of life of citizens. Therefore, the objective of this re-search is to analyze how the Sevillian Avenue of the Constitution has evolved, which before its pedestrianization was an area of passage from the south and east to the center of the city and, at present, is a neuralgic center for the franchised commerce of the hotel trade, a tourist artery and a place of sociability. The excessive use of motorized vehicles in the urban space generated pedestrianization, closing the access to the center; with this tensions and some opposition on the part of the citizen-ship were raised. The bicycle, the metro, the tram and even walking have become clean transports through which urban mobility is channeled. To deepen this issue, a literature review has been made about the reasons for this transformation and its social, economic, and environ-mental consequences. However, the coexistence of these forms of mobility requires developing a certain civic awareness, having to respect road rules, both by pedestrians and by users of the bike path. In short, the consequences that the pedestrianization of the Sevillian Avenue of the Constitution continues to have today have direct repercussions on the residents' way of life. Environmental quality is not enough, although sustainable transport is used to access the historic center, which reduces pollution.
