Résumé
Communication in the medical-health field needs a wider review. The results obtained from the studies conducted during 2014 and 2016 contribute to the development of tools to improve the communicative competence and the cooperation between healthcare professionals and interpreters. The main axes of this piece of research are the linguistic and sociocultural aspects as well as conditions of the triadic encounters (doctor-patient-interpreter) understood as a source of conflict. The aim of these studies is to verify the thesis that a previous briefing session between the interpreter and the healthcare professional is needed as a first step to solve a conflict, improve the interpreting consultations and healthcare quality. The study of these factors may enhance readability and comprehension of specialized information.
