Abstract
Geolodía and Geoyincana in Alicante are very effective outreach activities to highlight and enhance the value of the geological heritage of the province. From 2008, Geolodía allows spreading and introducing some of the main elements of the geological heritage of Alicante province to participants, which have been counted for nearly ten thousand in the seven editions of the activity. In addition, Geolodía is properly influencing local and provincial administrations, involving them in the enhancement of the geological heritage of the province. Geoyincana is focused on secondary education students. Through the combination of education and field activities, it allows making them aware of the protection of the geological heritage.
