The relationship between out-of-school sport participation and positive youth development

Objectifs de Développement Durable

Résumé

A pesar de la creciente evidencia de que la participación en actividades fuera de la escuela y los programas, especialmente la actividad física y el deporte facilita el desarrollo positivo, poca investigación se ha llevado a cabo el desarrollo de programas deportivos fuera de la escuela en comparación con ninguna participación en estas actividades o la participación en otras actividades. Nuestro estudio examinó la participación de los jóvenes en actividades de deporte escolar en comparación con la participación en otras actividades fuera de la escuela y las influencias en la autoeficacia, el comportamiento prosocial y la responsabilidad personal y social. Los resultados mostraron que los jóvenes que participan en programas deportivos fuera de la escuela tienen importantes niveles más altos en la autoeficacia, el comportamiento prosocial y la responsabilidad personal y social, el respeto a los adolescentes que participan en otras actividades, o de los que no practican ninguna actividad tipo.
