Miguel A. Mateo Pérez (Alicante, 1975) University Professor in the area of Social Work and Social Services at the University of Alicante. Full-time lecturer since 1998. Throughout his teaching career and since earning his PhD in 2001, he has been evaluated through student satisfaction surveys, consistently obtaining positive results with an average rating of 8.95 out of 10. Within the UA Docentia programme, he has received ratings of "Highly Satisfactory" (academic year 2018/19: 94.8/100 points; academic year 2019/20: 98.3/100 points) and "Excellent" (academic year 2020/21: 98.9/100 points). Over the years, he has taught on a variety of degree programmes, including the First-Cycle Undergraduate Degree in Social Work; Second-Cycle Undergraduate Degrees in Sociology, Advertising and Public Relations; Undergraduate Degree in Social Work; Master's Degrees in Marketing and Market Research, and Communication and Creative Industries; and PhD programmes in Business Organisation, Latin America in the Global System, and Social Welfare and Inequalities, having directed the latter two programmes. Currently, he teaches the course "Social Work Interventions in Social Policies" as part of the Undergraduate Degree in Social Work at the University of Alicante. He is a research project evaluator for ANEP, AGAUR, and AEI. He is also a member of the ANECA expert panel within the ACREDITA programme, and serves as an evaluator for the Agency for Scientific and University Quality of Andalusia (ACCUA) and the Quality Assurance Agency of the Balearic Islands (AQUIB). He has represented the University of Alicante in the thematic table on Social and Citizen Innovation for defining the Smart Specialization Strategy S3 of the Valencian Community for the period 2021-2027. He has served as vice-dean, department director, and director of an inter-university research institute. Currently, he is the secretary of the Department of Social Work and Social Services.
