I’m Raquel, a sociologist and aspiring researcher with a deep passion for understanding human behavior and advancing gender equality. From a young age, I’ve been curious about how people interact with their surroundings, which led me to discover sociology as a field full of opportunities to drive social change. My journey combines experience in university-level research and specialized training in gender-based violence, along with strong public communication skills, particularly with younger audiences. I am fluent in Spanish, Valencià-Català, and English, enabling me to navigate multicultural and diverse contexts effectively. I’ve had the privilege of aligning my academic vocation with my personal passions. My recent work explores gender issues in sports, focusing on basketball —a field I deeply value. Additionally, I have studied significant social phenomena such as residential migration and privileged mobilities in Alicante, using a gender perspective. Beyond my professional interests, I’m passionate about digital platforms and basketball, reflecting a balance between critical analysis and engagement with contemporary cultural dynamics.
