Abstract

The objective of this research was to design a public intervention proposal to improve the effectiveness of the Maternal Neonatal Health Budget Program in a Health Institution, Pimentel 2024. Regarding the typology, this is basic propositional and not experimental. The sample was made up of 75 health workers from a public institution located in the city of Pimentel. The results of the questionnaire showed that the level of effectiveness of the mentioned program is at a high level, according to 38.7% of those surveyed. Furthermore, 60% state that they are at a regular level and only 1.3% that they are at a low level. These results shown reflect that the maternal and neonatal health budget program performs its functions between regular and acceptable in its 3 stages: monitoring, supervision and evaluation. From this result, it was concluded that it is necessary to design an intervention proposal that seeks to improve the effectiveness of both the monitoring, its forecasting and evaluation of the Maternal Neonatal Health Budget Program in a Health Institution, Pimentel 2024.
