Resumen
El desarrollo y uso de la inteligencia artificial (IA) ha crecido exponencialmente en los últimos años, formando parte de numerosos campos relevantes y diversos, y por tanto irrumpiendo en la sociedad y en los comportamientos colectivos de su ciudadanía. Sin embargo, su importante papel no parece aún ser del todo apreciado por las personas, incluso siendo en ocasiones malinterpretado o infravalorado. Por consiguiente, revisamos en este trabajo el origen y la definición de IA, algunos de sus más destacados ejemplos actuales de aplicación, su impacto ambiental, así como arrojamos algunas sugerencias para preguntas futuras en encuestas sociológicas más detalladas sobre IA.
