Resumen

The family, as a condition of system, unites the individual with society. It establishes an organic synergy, a delicate balance of two senses as powerful and influential as vulnerable. This interrelationship connects the private history of families with the historiography of the country in which they live. The family conflicts represented in the cultural manifestation open a window to numerous significant readings taken as the sociocultural and historical temperature of the moment. With these premises we will analyse Concha Alós’ novel La madama, is analysed whose family universe draws broken family networks and impossible repair in a context of strong imposition and indoctrination as was the Franco regime.
