Résumé
Sewage effluents have long been recognized as one of the principal causes of impacts in marine environments. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of sewage discharge over soft bottom Polychaete assemblage. We compared a grid of 8 sites established in two transects, one within the potentially impacted area and the other one at a distance of 4 Km. Two principal groups are identified . One group dominated by Paraonidae, Lumbrineridae and Cirratulidae. In this group higher percentage of mud of mud and organic matter are detected. The other group is characterized by the heterogeneity of the sediments. Syllidae dominate this group. A high correlation is observed between biotic parameters and Polychaeta assemblage.
