Abstract

Objective: To analyze the factors related to vaccination notifications in a primary care health department of the Spanish National Health System during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: A cross-sectional, descriptive study carried out in the Department of Health 21 of Orihuela (Alicante-Spain) from December 27, 2020 to January 25, 2022. The study setting was primary care. The portal of the Vaccine Information System was used. Results: A total of 66 nurses participated. The mean age was 37.34 (SD 12.66). 63% notifications were made by women. The volume of vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 in any of its doses is very high, and the notifications obtained are very few. Registration errors predominate as the main cause of errors related to the vaccination process. Conclusion: We consider of particular interest our contributions regarding under-reporting, staffing, training or communication; as strategies for patient safety and quality of care.
