The purpose of this communication is to provide an innovative classroom experience in secondary education that aligns with current regulations. Theater becomes a highly effective resource for connecting adolescents to their own emotions while exploring a complex literary period such as the Baroque. The goal is to stage a theatrical performance of a Cervantes interlude, transforming the classroom into a grand theater courtyard that allows us to firsthand experience the Baroque through its theater. The curriculum of Spanish Language and Literature should aim to enable all students to engage in language use across various social contexts (personal, public, professional, educational, virtual). Furthermore, when focusing on a key aspect, the development of linguistic communication, we are not necessarily compelled to link this competence solely to the significant challenges faced by adolescents, both locally and/or globally, in constructing a life project. However, it is not sufficient to solely develop competence in linguistic communication; we must also encourage its implementation in action, meaning it should involve staging. This represents a significant change in the new curriculum framework, which opens a window to justify a substantial emphasis on contemporary theatrical techniques.
