Resum

This research sets out to deal with a series of chronical texts which point out how the ideology of the Reconquista is accepted by the Muslims themselves, right from the early X century. Simultaneously the Reconquista topic intertwines with laments on the loss of Al-Andalus. This last topic was very recurrent in the Andalusian historical and literary sources mainly from the second half of the XI century on. I have chosen the Abū Muḥammad Ibn al-Barr epistle on the fall of Barbartro (in the year 456 H./1064 C.E.) as an example due its relevance.
