Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the knowledge structure related to the thematic of dynamic capabilities, as well as to see their relationships from a metric perspective. An analysis of the levels of productivity and authorial collaboration is carried out, followed by a thematic study from a broad perspective, and, subsequently, focused on certain specific elements such as absorptive, ambidexterity, learning and adaptability capabilities. Similarly, a citation analysis of David Teece's work is carried out, as he is the most productive author in this field of knowledge. The results reveal that research on dynamic capabilities has an important collaborative logic. However, the number of authors who generate their research individually is not negligible. Productivity by journals show ed that there is an important niche in the geographical areas of the United States and the Netherlands. With regard to the thematic analysis, it should be noted that concepts such as innovation and management are inherent to dynamic capabilities.
