Resumen

Under the title “Resignification in the field ofgender; a commitment to information,communication and responsible education" the meeting that took place at the University ofAlicante in September 2019 was a meeting place between the different disciplines underthe umbrella of Communication, the common thread and the speaker of all of them for thechance. In this meeting we talked about the different views of society, the different pointsof view of each of the fields of knowledge From the point of view of the economy in generaland migration in particul ar, my gaze fell on invisibility. The invisibility of economic authors,such as Margaret Reid or the invisibility of gender data in general and of migration inparticular, that of women in economic theories. What is not seen cannot be reflected on,nor com municated in the media, or what is worse, if the problem was intuited (it is lurkingthere like a shadow, even if it is not seen) policies or plans can be drawn up, but, what Howdo you know that they have been useful, if they have achieved their objective s? If we cannotmeasure where we start from, we will not be able to say where we want to go, nor how longthat path will be.
