Abstract
The aim of this article is to think of Joan Fuster considering his letters to Max Cahner, with special reference to the projects shared between both of them, especially as regards the publisher-writer relationship, but taking their friendship into account: the good times and the ups and downs. Therefore, from the letters, we will pay attention to the ex-perience of Fuster as a collaborator of Cahner in the Gran Enciclopèdia Catalana and in his relationship with the linguistic correctors, in addition, of course, focusing on some processes of text creation such as Literatura catalana contemporània (1972) i Decadència al País Valencià (1976).
