Abstract

Radars are devices commonly dedicated to the detection and tracking of nearby targets in maritime, terrestrial and air environments. Processing and visualizing your data are very demanding computational operations. In the past, highly specialized hardware was required to perform such operations, which today are performed using personal computers. These solutions lower costs compared to old equipment, but the economic profitability is lower considering other technologies such as Single Board Computers. The main contribution of this work is the use of SBCs and parallel computing for data processing and visualization in radar systems, which made it possible to make efficient use of computing resources and increased economic profitability compared to with personal computers.
