Resumo

This article describes, in an analytical, descriptive and comparative manner, the relationship of the theme park sector with the Sustainable Development Goals set by the governments of the major world powers for their achievement in 2030. Specially, the research focuses on ODS 7 "affordable and clean energy" and ODS 12 "responsible production and consumption". Accordingly, the main actions taken by some of the world's most successful operators and theme parks to achieve the fixed objectives, are reflected throughout the text. The main novelty of this exercise consists of transferring a subject of great impact on the academic and economic community, such as the study of sustainability and ODS, to the theme park tourism sub-sector.
