Abstract

The technologies of the fourth industrial revolution are leading to a far-reaching renewal of all productive sectors, including traditional ones such as tourism. Within these renewal processes, the most disruptive innovation has focused on sustainability issues at a productive and environmental level. This article analyses how advances in artificial intelligence, blockchain and the internet of things are leading destinations and tourism management to international best practices that may be the basis for the future competitiveness of a key sector for the Spanish economy
