Abstract

What is the most effective way to organize a subject in which a heterogeneous group of teachers isinvolved? The answer is not in the way of organizing it, but in how that subject is structured and planned. The challenge is to coordinate 12 teachers, including several part-time lecturers, where the goal is tomaintain the same educational level for every group. Until now, the subject coordinator managed theentire group of teachers. This supervision involves a large workload, which is why we have delved intothe planning of the subject.Every class has a material made up of theory notes and exercises, with a vague timeline based onthe experience of the professionals who had been teaching the subject for the longest time. As aninnovation, the following has been done:1. Impose the objective of teaching a maximum of 3 new elements in each class.2. Separate each topic into individual lessons per session.3. Assign exercises to each lesson to strengthen theoretical and practical learning.4. Design a fully specified global timeline for the subject in which evaluation objectives are included. As a result, time has been optimized and complete synchronization has been achieved between theteaching staff of the subject, especially in those shared groups. In addition, this system has made itpossible to optimize the content of each topic. In turn, this structure offers students greater clarity ofwhat is going to be learned each day and what the learning objectives are.
