Resumen

Our contemporary context, characterized by the complexity and abundance of information, invites us to learn and work with what exists, to understand architecture can be invented as the result of disassembling, re-organizing, hacking, evolving, reassembling or post-producing. In this research we describe the methodological keys of a teaching experience associated with a series of Design Studios. This process oscillates between professional practice and academic research, between existing postindustrial contexts and new urban imaginaries, between canonical architectures and newly invented architectural assemblies, fed from shared catalogues available in open-source repositories. Our goal is to develop the students’ ability to collaborate, think systematically, embrace strategic and tactical thinking and strengthen their creativity and criticality, some of the most necessary skills for the future
