Abstract
In this paper we study the casuistry provided by Article 33.2 of the Civil Procedure Act, which addresses the appointment of paid spell of court duty and fulfils two functions highlighted by the Case Law: a function to ensure the right of defence and a function to ensure the right to equality of weapons. It also addresses the requirements needed to request professionals who are not free of charge and their effects.
