El régimen jurídico del valenciano en perspectiva: de las previsiones constitucionales y estatutarias al desarrollo legislativo

Resum

This paper, on the one hand, tries to show a panoramic perspective of the Valencian legal framework almost forty years after the recovery of the autonomy by Comunitat Valenciana. Starting from the theoretical foundations of Linguistic Law, essentially the status of officiality and linguistic rights, a route is made from the constitutional and statutory regulation of linguistic pluralism to the Valencian laws and institutions of promoting and linguistic normalisation. Linguistic rights and the paper of Valencian in Corts Valencianes, as well as its main related resolutions are also analysed. On the other hand, the main legislative, administrative and judicial innovations about the regulation of Valencian in different fields are studied, among which the administrative and educational ones and the new Valencian public media stand out. From both an analytical and critical perspective, the main progresses made and the necessary reforms to be undertaken to advance Valencian towards a real an effective equality are exposed.
