Resumen

Dactyliothecae Cataloniae: "The Glyptic Collection of the Episcopal Museum of Vic". A complete catalogue of the MEV's Glyptic collection, including 51 items and introduced by a brief history of its formation, at the beginning of the XX century. J. Gudiol acquired, by donation or purchase, the engraved stones in Empúries, Mérida and Syria -other origins are anecdotal, like Vic surrounding or Carmona. The catalogue provides a full description of each piece, grouped later by proveniences to be analyzed about their material, iconography and chronology. The MEV's collection, an unusual case in the Iberian Peninsula, gives a good impression of the Museum's personality and international dimension as well as the evidence of an active antiquities trade in Catalonia.
