Resum
This work deals with the literary career of the Valencian Jesuit P. Juan Bautista Colomés carried out while in exile in Italy. We concentrate on one of his works, "Les philosophes a l'encan", published in Parma in 1793 and again in 1796. Our study analyses this publication which we would place in the category of satirical literature defending religious belief, which counter-attacks the ideas of the encylopaedists by means of ironical, antiphilosophical criticism.
