Abstract

We are trying to analyze a religious congregation which, like it happened in Madrid in 1653, was spread along Spain counting 370 centers at the end of the XVIII Century. This is about the "Escuelas de Cristo" integrated by ecclesiastics and seculars and which mean labor, among other things, was living and teaching a kind of spirituality girded to the counter-reformation interests as well as the ones of the baroque time.
