Abstract

From a practical perspective, the Royal Patronage was the best representative of Borbonic regalist ideas, given the fact that it enabled royalty to interfere in the temporary or mixed aspects of the ecclesiastical lives of subjects. Among these, the beneficiary provisions are outstanding. The present article analyses such appointments in the Catalonian Princedom at the end of Charles the III kingdom.
