This paper reports two head injuries in two burials from the medieval cemetery of Arizkoa (Monreal, Navarra). The first is a skull belonging to a mature adult man. There is a hole affecting both parietals. The dimensions are 45'02x35'06 mm. The edges are blunt, with no signs of infection. Given the nature of the injury and evidence of long-term survival, we consider it as a probable traumatic origin. The second lesion is identified in the skull of a young adult female. There is a hole that affects the frontal and parietal lobes, including part of the coronal suture. The edges are irregular, with involvement of the area around the hole. They show clear signs of bone remodeling with scar tissue. We consider it probably trepanning.
