Résumé
The cultural implications are analyzed in the eastern half of the province of Albacete, an area circumscribed to the territories hierarchized by the oppida of La Peña (Peñas de San Pedro) and Saltigi (Chinchilla) during the Iberian period (ss.VI to II a.C.). The development of a language with a common identity value has meant a source of cohesion within the communities ascribed to a space. The ambiguity of the written sources when referring to ethnic and cultural aspects, together with the lack of an association with the political articulation of space, allow the application of new paradigms, using the recent theories in the framework of identity-legitimacy relations. We have outstanding sites that give an empirical basis aspects of the ideology of the Iberian community through the different samples of statuary in funerary contexts such as Pozo Moro, Hoya de Santa Ana, El Salobral, etc. as well as the identified sanctuaries that, together, form the basis of our analysis.
