Resumen
It is exposed an approach to the characteristic resources of the poetic genre for the treatment of historical topics based on Dios trajo la sombra by the Ecuadorian Jorge Enrique Adoum. Through the analysis of these verses, this paperwork tries to fathom how some characteristics of the Hispano-American poetry from 50s and 60s of 20th Century, popularized by the colloquial poetic, have a certain utility for the poetic re-reading of history. In this way, aspects such us intertextuality, mixture of voices, symbolic dimension, fragmentarity or significant capacity of the visual resources show the particular hability of poetry to offer a new literary look from periods such us Pre-Columbian o Virreinal age.
