Abstract
It is analyzed the organization of the territories of La Peña (Peñas de San Pedro) and Saltigi (Chinchilla), two important Iberian oppida between the 6th-2nd century BC; located in the center-south of the province of Albacete, which include a great part of the mountain ranges of Alcaraz and Montearagón, and Los Llanos. Focusing on the population order, the economic resources and routes of communication that articulate each one, we present the methodological bases of our investigation by reviewing the previous archaeological reports, providing with new survey information and including a detailed study of the Albacete Museum’s collections, with them we will prepare a catalog of sites and routes of communication. Likewise, the information obtained through the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) will be ordered and processed to apply different spatial analysis. This strategy will allow to provide a dynamic, proven and comparative image of two Iberian territories pending an integral study.
