Resumo
The approval of the Reglamento del Paisaje (landscape regulation) in the Region of Valencia (Doc. 120/2006, 11th August of the Valencian Regional Government) highlighted the necessary analysis of landscape in any study of urban planning. Building on the consideration that landscape is an important part of every urban project, this new perspective of urban analysis and planning introduces also citizen participation, mostly in the first steps of the planning process. In this paper, the main objective is to define the potentiality of the Reglamento del Paisaje in the Region of Valencia for participatory urban planning.
