Resumen
Subjects related to Women¿s History began to appear in Spanish University degree courses a few years ago. Their presence is particularly urgent in Teacher Training syllabuses due to the fact that students on these courses are later absorbed into the education system at its most basic level. A survey conducted among third-year Teacher Training students at the University of Alicante has analysed the knowledge and the attitudes of these students in relation to gender in History. The results serve to justify the inclusion in official Teacher Training syllabuses of such subjects, as a scientific, pedagogical and social necessity.
