Abstract
In the current climate change framework, groundwater management and related problems have become important, especially in drought areas like Spanish Mediterranean Arc. In this work, we present last monitoring results in the Alto Guadalentín basin, using remote sensing (InSAR) and in-situ (GNSS) techniques, to control one of the largest European subsidence areas related to groundwater extraction. Displacements obtained processing two different satellites have allowed to detect a hori- zontal component in the basin displacement, validated using GNSS data. Supported by previous hydrogeological models over the area, empirical deformational models have been updated to calculate the possible evolution of groundwater levels during the last years.
