Abstract

In order to create tools for the future aquaculture planning, two carrying capacity models were developed for both marine and inland finfish aquaculture. These models included, through expert panels, factors related to environmental, technical-productive, social and economic features of the area where the activity is going to take place. These factors would modulate a basal production per hectare and year. The simplicity and versatility of these models would allow their application in the future planning of aquaculture areas
