Abstract

Updated revision of the last days of the Civil War during March 1939 based on hard-to-reach local historiography. The article begins with Negrín's first efforts in the central area in favor of resisting and ends with the final disbandment of the last days of March. Highlight the treatment of the meeting on the estate of Los Llanos (Albacete) on 16 Febru-ary and the definitive failure of Negrín's theses; also the desertions and the week of internal war between the casadists and the communists; equally the closed blockade of the Repu-blican coast by the Mediterranean Blockade Forces and Operations created in October 1937 and the failure of the efforts of the National Defense Council to achieve a capitulation with guarantees.
