Zusammenfassung

This research analyses the perceptions of the population about the personal, social and economic situation as they are usually studied in the CIS monthly barometers, considered as interrelated opinions. The first level of analysis concerns the presence of a structural bias in the measurement of certain problems that comes from the way in which questions on this issue are posed. This bias occurs due to the existence of differentiated response patterns according to self-perceptions of social class (subjective social class), and according to educational level and ideological positions (expressed in spatial terms in the location on a left-right scale). The second level considers how this structure introduces response patterns in the assessment of personal and societal situations, which interfere with the subjective perceptions of changes that may occur because of the existing socioeconomic climate at a given time.
