Zusammenfassung
El apoyo de la población local al desarrollo turístico es esencial para afrontar con éxito cualquier proceso de planificación turística. En este trabajo, las percepciones y actitudes de los residentes se usaron para segmentar la valoración de la población en seis grupos bien diferenciados a partir de un análisis de clústeres. Los resultados generales muestran que la actividad de los cruceros se percibe positivamente desde el punto de vista económico, pero la investigación también sugiere que la población local no debe ser vista en modo homogéneo en lo que respecta al apoyo al desarrollo del turismo de cruceros. Aún más, se encontró que la opinión acerca del desarrollo y gestión del turismo de cruceros es significativamente distinta para una serie de indicadores socioeconómicos y demográficos, principalmente la variable residencia. Esta información tiene serias implicaciones para la gestión del turismo en la ciudad y en otros destinos de cruceros.
