Resumo
After a brief reference to the present context of the career of Maestro Especialista en Educación Musical at the University of Alicante, a definition of the Music Education concept is offered, justifying its need and relevance and trying to prove its influence in the education of a person as a whole. Finally the author details and analyses the characteristics that a Music Teacher must have in relation with the concept of Music Education previously established.
