Abstract
This papel deal with the study of the reform of the Statutes of the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation, which includes a new definition of the sport of cycling, including all those manifestations and competitive and non-competitive activities in virtual and / or electronic format. We will deal with the concept of sports modality in Spanish legislation, its regulation, and the way in which the International Cycling Union has begun to pay attention to the phenomenon of so-called e-cycling or e-cycling.
