Résumé
Several large bodies mainly of reworked triassic intercalated between Middle Miocene marlsoverlain by scattered rodolith limestones at their top are interpreted here as ancient olistostromic submarine pourings. These bodies are derived from «salt glaciers» or namakiers having a root area located in the diapiric extrusion at the North of the Sierra del Cajar. The olistostromes canbe characterised by an increase in insoluble material as red clays, limestones and dolostonesclasts respect to the northern most triassic outcrops. In the gypsiferous material two main typescan be distinguished: a primigenie gypsum with parallel lamination forming rounded clasts untila size of 2x5 meters and fibrous gypsum filling late tensional joints.
