Resumo
Optimal colours have been used to study different topics addressed today by the scientific community. On one hand, the work contributes to the open discussion about the colour rendering of light sources defining a new index based on the colour solid volume. With the same methodology, it has been evaluated the colour vision differences between normal and anomalous observers. Furthermore, it has been worked in a great database in order to evaluate the real colour surface taking into account the MacAdam limits (optimal colours) in lightness and hue constant profiles
