Abstract
Infants prenatally exposed to drugs can be considered to be a special case of infancy at risk. Prenatal drug exposure can be associated with a wide range of obstetrical complications and neurobehavioral disturbances in infants. This paper analyses the different mechanisms offered by civil law to protect children against risk and neglect, with special reference to the latest reforms of 2015 that modify the Child Protection Act 1/1996, being this study completed with the regional norms in this field.
