Resumen

Diversity is a feature that is present in all social areas, and is an inescapable duty to respond adequately. The education system in particular must be sensitive to this situation, taking steps to address this principle. Within this line of work, the main objective of our research is to understand the strategies and actions which in the university context are planned to enhance and facilitate learning outcomes in students with education needs some support, linking strategies and shares used in other segments of education. As teachers, we assume that the learning process without addressing diversity is a predictable failure. Therefore, we must identify the care, guidance and advice which the student receives, and when University is involved, the teacher and interaction channels that are established. This research is contextualized in the University of Alicante, developing a case study methodology, analyzing the situation before the evolution of the process of attention to diversity, students’ academic history and the most significant changes that occur in the transition to university.
