Resum

El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar una revisión de la literatura de estudios empíricos cuanti- tativos que han analizado la relación entre la gestión medioambiental y la rentabilidad en el sector hotelero. Se han identificado varios trabajos, de los que se examinan las variables medioambientales, competitivas y de rentabilidad utilizadas, los análisis estadísticos empleados y los principales resulta- dos obtenidos. Los resultados indican que el vínculo entre la gestión medioambiental y la rentabilidad puede depender de variables mediadoras, moderadoras y de control. Además, la gestión medioambien- tal puede ser influida por características específicas del hotel y las actitudes de los directivos hacia factores externos e internos. El trabajo ofrece implicaciones para los directivos y futuras líneas de investigación.
